1.What kind of equipment do I need?
We recommend high speed internet DSL or cable.
For windows user:
  • .Windows 200, XP,  Vista or Windows 7
  • Internet Explorer 7 or better. Netscape9, Firefox 2.0.0.6 or later
  • 28.8 kbps or faster Internet connection.
  • P350 + MHz, 128 + MB memory
  • 800x600 16 bit color display or better.
For Apple user:
  • Mac OS/X 10.4.4., or later
  • Safari 2.0.1 or later, Firefox 2.0.0.6 or later
  • Local area network or broadband connection
  • G4 700 MHz Power PC, 384 MB memory
  • Display color depth: thousands of color
Internet Voice VoIP Requirements:
We require you to have microphone and speakers to interact in class.
  • Sound card
  • Microphone
  • Camera (optional but desirable)

2.How do I login to the Webconference?
Once you join, you will receive the login and password for your sessions.
With regards to issue viewing your playback session or UCF files, you will needs "WebEx Universal Toolkit" software installed in the system to view the files.

The "WebEx Universal Toolkit" software can be downloaded from the following link:

https://becomingbilingual.webex.com/client/T27LB/atucfsuite.msi as well as to play back them.

3.What happen if I need to take vacations?
There is no problem. You can schedule your classes ahead of time. If you are part of a group class, it is your responsibility to catch up with the group.  It is recommendable to get a group study and to communicate with your classmates during the week as a way to practice and to catch up. You will also have available the recorded session to play back for up to 3 weeks.

4.Login
We recommend students to login 5 – 15 minutes earlier and to interact with other while waiting for the class to start.

5.Computer Security
We recommend:
  • Enable automatic updates to your computer.
  • Turn off pop-up blocker
  • Turn off Phishing filter
  • Include Saba Centra, www.BecomingBilingual.com and www.Spanish4life.com in your secure sites
  • Use an antivirus. AVG free version is acceptable or any other.
  • Use a firewall and adware. Free Lavasoft Ad-ware is acceptable.
We do not endorse any of the software above.  It is your responsibility to choose the best one according to the level of protection you would like to give to your computer.
  • We recommend clearing / cleaning cookies before each session.
